Movie Plot: A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set on the town of Madison, Delaware. After the recent death of his father, Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnett) and his mother Gail (Amy Ryan) move from New York City to the peaceful city of Madison, Delaware. While settling in the new neighborhood, Zach befriends his neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush) until his overblooded father Mr. Shivers (Jack Black) warns him to avoid contact with them. The next morning, at Madison High School, where Gayle works as deputy principal, Zach befriended champion (Ryan Lee). That night, Hannah invites Zach to an abandoned amusement park but when they return home, Hannah’s father again warns that Zach stays away or something bad will happen.
The next night, Zach hears the arguments of Hannah and her father. Screaming and chasing crashed objects, he calls the police. Mr. Shevers assured stevens and Brooks officials that the noise came from their television. Shortly afterwards, Gayle leaves the school to oversee a spring break dance, and leaves Jach with her aunt Lorraine (Jillian Bell). Being in danger of Hannah, Zach dodges his father going to the police station while he enters his home with the help of the champion. When checking, they both find a bookshelf with several books from the Gousebumps franchise, each mysteriously closed. In response to Champa’s curiosity, Zach opened pasadena’s abominibal snowman, releasing the real abomeable snowman. With Hannah’s help, they chase the monster to a local ice rink where Mr. Shiver appears and surrounds the creature again in the book.
